PLAN of PA’s Board of Directors and Operational Team were thrilled to host many of our PLAN of PA families in our Fall 2020 Virtual Town Hall. Sponsored by our friends at True Link Financial, this event was hosted on Zoom to provide key information, obtain feedback and engage our families safely. The participants rated the event overall 4.5 out of 5.
Here’s what some of our families had to say about the time we spent together.
from PLAN OF PA LEADERSHIP
PLAN of PA Board President Scott Wolpert, Esq., (Partner at Timoney Knox Law Practice) started off the main agenda by sharing the focus of the PLAN of PA Board and introducing each Board Member who each offer strategic areas of expertise. You can visit our PLAN of PA Board page to learn more about them.
PLAN of PA Foundation president Marilyn Seide Mitchell, Esq., (Partner at Herr Potts and Potts) explained the purpose of the Foundation Board, emphasizing the need to raise funds that sustain the important outcomes PLAN of PA’s operational team achieves. She introduced the Foundation Board and highlighted how their talents benefit the Foundation’s mission to support PLAN of PA. Our Foundation Board members are depicted here on our website. She also announced the many events planned for this fall and winter including a virtual Bingo series for those we serve and their support systems, virtual Trivia Happy Hour with a focus on networking and additional Town Halls in Spring and Fall of 2021. In our family feedback poll, families responded very positively to regular Town Hall sessions.
Our Executive Director, Christy Holland, spoke to the team’s tremendous efforts throughout the pandemic supporting individuals and families in Care Management services and to our Trust beneficiaries. She also highlighted some of the organization’s transformations to offer services in a pandemic environment, including the intention to offer Family support groups in Winter of 2021.
Christine Pontecorvo, Care Management Supervisor and Betsy Stier, Senior Trust Officer spoke about their departments’ support of our mission, emphasis on service and assisting those we support and their families in navigating through the pandemic.
As we look forward, we are optimistic in our ability to shift our services to include a blend of live and virtual outreach. In the feedback polls, families asked for virtual groups for their loved ones in addition to the Bingo series. This outreach is in development to be rolled out in tandem with our offerings to families.
The PLAN Boards and Team are thrilled that the Town Hall got such an overwhelming response. Our surveys indicated a strong request for a Town Hall in the Spring and Fall of 2021! Until then, be safe everyone. Thank you for confidence in PLAN of PA to support you and your family member.
